In the process of offering something different to the backpacking world, I am always looking to improve ways to bring you trail videos. When I first launched last year, I wanted to focus on a video centric web site and bring a dynamic look and feel. We have gone through two versions of our website. We are currently working on version 3.
This version will focus solely on a TV feel. The look of the website will be more like watching tv channels. Each channel will have it’s own focus. For example: We will have “Gear Review” channel, and a “Trail” channel. However, the goal of the site will still be video.
With new technologies, cell phone advancement, GPS, I feel the backpacker will easily be able to upload his or her travels with ease. What better way to share your experience with another hiker than to share your video.
I have a new launch site in another month. This is the time to give me feedback of what you would like to see in a backpacking web site. Please comment about what you like, don’t like about the site. What would you like to see this site become, or not become? I want to build a community website that all of us can enjoy and have fun with.
