For the last few years I have tried and tried to make it to Trail Days in Damasus, Virginia, and failed. This year, I am all set to go. Cats, and Dogs all being taken care of, and time off work. Trail Days starts in just a few weeks. This year the dates are set for May 15, 16, and 17th.

Trail Days this year looks well organized and they have a new and improved website. They are also looking for Volunteers to help set up.

Of course I’ll be taking an opportunity to do some hiking myself in and around Mt. Rogers and the AT itself. It should be a great time.

No trails, no signs, just wilderness and a 3,000 foot steep drop into the Canyon. I ran out of water my third day. Why? There was no water in the Canyon.
