The Willet Hot Springs is an excellent backpacking destination in the Sespe Wilderness located within the Los Padres National Forest. Just over 10.2 miles from the Piedra Blanca trailhead, the moderate hike features stunning views, swimming holes and a chance to view abundant wildlife. This video features a solo overnight trek in June 2009. If hiking during the summer months, adventurers should be prepared for hot, dry conditions. Shade is minimal. Water is plentiful, however, as long as you are carrying a functional water filtration system.
