I found this web site and video the other day and thought it was a very reasonable (and good idea) for those who can’t afford to buy a ton of gear but want to get out into the backcountry for a few days. The company is Lower Gear.

I checked out their rental policies and gear, and they are all very fairly priced. So if you don’t want to buy a tent, backpack, and additional gear, rent it.
