These series of videos are produced by Outdoor Research. Backpacking the Wind River Range is just one included in the series.

The Wind River Range should be the right of passage for any trail lover. Titcomb basin connects a series of trails to deliver hikers to a granite stronghold of alpine lakes and Wyoming’s tallest peaks. The fishing is excellent. The elevation gain is minimal. Dogs are allowed in the Wind River Range, a rarity for wilderness areas in the U.S.

It’s little wonder that NOLS using as this for a lot of its course work.

  • Great short clip!!!!!! Makes me want to get out and hike right now 🙂 I am confused with the Spot The Dinosaurs Contest. The web page does not seem to be active? If anyone has any ideas, please sill us in? To the Admin, this is a great site you have here, I appreciate the effort put by yourself (and others?) into it. You should be proud. Good day sir.

  • I hadn’t seen this video before even though I live right next to the Winds! Outdoor Research did a great job capturing the Range! And they have me chomping at the bit! Although the trailheads are still snow blocked, the low snow pack this year and warmer than normal temps, should open them earlier than usual!
